As regulations, guidance and suggestions change from Riverside County's Department of Public Health, the City would like to provide the business community a landing site for frequently asked questions, concerns, and information.

On Dec. 3, the Governor announced a $500 million relief grant administered by the CA Office of the Small Business Advocate for small businesses impacted by COVID-19 and health and safety restrictions. Sign up to receive more information when the program becomes available. In an effort to provide support for stores and restaurants in Indio, on Sept. 25, the City launched a Business Assistance Program. Among the programs available are:
- $10,000 grants to eligible store-front businesses in Indio, and $5,000 grants to eligible in-home daycare providers in Indio. The application period runs from March 5-15, 2021. Check here for more details.
- Free and limited quantities of disposable face masks and gloves to eligible businesses and not for profits. Fill out an Assistance Request form, or see below for more details. Additionally, through a partnership with the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership, disposable face masks, hand sanitizer and face shields will be distributed to all eligible store-front Indio businesses beginning Monday, Feb. 22, 2021.
Riverside County's Community Action Partnership launched the CAP CARES program on Dec. 21, 2021 to assist families with emergency help paying household bills like water, sewage, garbage, utilities, special needs and technology. Fill out an application in English or in Spanish, and submit it via e-mail to CAPCARES@capriverside.org, by mail to CAP CARES c/o 2038 Iowa Ave., Suite B-102, Riverside CA 92507 or via fax to (951) 955-2230. Assistance is based on availability of funds.
Seniors can determine their eligibility for "Restaurants Deliver: Home Meals for Seniors" program and also fill out a contact form.
Riverside County Economic Development has also launched a website with resources related to COVID-19 disaster assistance. Among the resources made available on May 6 are ReStart loans for small businesses of between $15,000 and $30,000. Apply for a ReStart loan here. Grants of up to $10,000 are also available for businesses in Riverside County that have not already accessed federal COVID-19 funding. In addition, the County has partnered with United Way and Lift to Rise to provide $35 million in rental assistance to Riverside County residents. On June 9, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved $5 million in financial support to the nonprofit community. Funds will be dispersed through the Riverside County Nonprofit Assistance Fund that will be administered by IECF, in partnership with the Inland Empire Funders Alliance. With over 7,500 organizations countywide, the new program will assist Riverside County nonprofits facing financial strain following the COVID-19 crisis.
