The Finance Department manages the financial affairs of the City including the Redevelopment Agency and the Indio Water Authority.

Responsibilities include providing financial information to the City Manager and City Council regarding the fiscal affairs of the City, preparing the annual budget, monitoring expenditures for compliance with the budget, preparing financial reports, administering the payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable programs, cashiering, business license administration, purchasing and Management Information Systems.
