Empire Polo Club may be known for its popular polo season, but the scenic venue also hosts a multitude of other events with several kicking off the New Year in January 2018. Here is a list of all the ways you can enjoy the great outdoors in Indio – from the beautiful weather to delicious food and drink.
December 31 - April 1, 2018 – Polo Games at Empire Polo Club
Polo games are open to the public and general admission is free with a $20 parking fee. Sunday Polo games are scheduled at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. There are four Friday night “Polo Under The Lights” games in February and March. January 4 - 7, 2018 – KCPS Dog Show (since 1997)
The Kennel Club of Palm Springs Dog Show is one of the largest shows in the country. The show runs four days with Jack Bradshaw Dog Shows as Show Superintendent. The dog show takes place at The Forum located at Empire Polo Club. For more information, visit www.jbradshaw.com.
January 12 - 14, 2018 – Sandstorm Lacrosse Tournament (since 2008)
Presented by Synapse Sports and Lax West, Sand Storm is considered the premier winter lacrosse event on the west coast. Sand Storm is held on the playing fields at Empire Polo Club. For more information, visit www.laxtournaments.com.
January 25 - 28, 2018 – Southwest Arts Festival (since 2002)
The 2018 Southwest Arts Festival will showcase over 275 artists exhibiting and selling their work. All types of fine works of art and quality crafts are featured from traditional to contemporary and abstract. Exhibits include sculpture, paintings, photography, printmaking, custom metalwork, custom jewelry, ceramics, glass, and textiles. Sink Your Teeth Into Polo Pizza!
At Polo Pizza, the experience is as big of a draw as the pizza! Its expansive patio features games and great ambiance with a fountain and decorative lighting in the evenings – as well as booths, high tops, picnic tables and couches for seating options. Polo Pizza offers carryout and dine-in service, with hand-crafted pizzas, appetizers, craft beer on tap and cocktails. Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 3:00 p.m-9:00 p.m., Thursday-Saturday 3:00 p.m.-Midnight, and Sunday 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. Closed Mondays.
