Parks

The City of Indio currently has several active parks with a variety of amenities. The parks are located throughout the City and include the following locations:

South Jackson Park - Located on Jackson Street and Date Street

  • Playground Equipment, Shaded Areas w/Tables, Barbecue Areas, Tennis Courts, Restrooms

Yucca Park - Located on Kenner Avenue & Yucca Lane 

  • Playground Equipment, Water Play, Shaded Area w/Tables, Barbecue Areas, Basketball Courts

Dominguez Park - Located on Monroe Street & Crown Way

  • Playground Equipment, Water Play, Shaded Area w/Tables, Barbecue Areas, Walking Paths, Basketball Court

North Jackson Park - Located on Jackson Street South of I-10 

  • Playground Equipment, Water Play, Softball Fields, Tennis Courts, Basketball Courts, Walking Paths, Shaded Areas w/Tables, Barbecue Areas, Restrooms

Miles Avenue Park - Located on Miles Avenue in Old Town Indio

Shields Park - Located on Shields Road & Avenue 46

  • Walking Path, Park Bench, Water Fountain

Cahuilla Park - Located on Hopi Avenue & Golf Center

  • Playground Equipment, Water Play, Basketball Courts, Shaded Area w/Tables, Barbecue Areas, Softball Fields

Patton Park - Located on Avenue 43 & Golf Center

  • Playground Equipment, Basketball Courts, Tennis Courts, Shaded Areas w/Tables, Barbecue Areas, Restrooms

Dr. Carreon Park - Located on Dr. Carreon Boulevard East of Monroe Street

  • Playground Equipment, Water Play, Shaded Area w/Tables, Barbecue Areas

York Plaza - Located on Indio Boulevard & Fargo Street

  • Gazebo, Benches

Mulligan Dog Park - Located on Van Buren Street (Adjacent to City of Indio Animal Care Center)

  • Fenced Dog Areas, Dog Run, Benches

Each of these parks provides lush open space combined with beautiful scenic views of surrounding mountains. The City of Indio is dedicated to providing it citizens with parks that encourage recreation and family activities.

Each of these parks is available for special events, parties and other activities. To plan or schedule an event at a park in the City please contact the City of Indio Community Services Department at (760) 391-4175 or submit a completed Park Use Permit.
